RAMALLAH, February 16, 2011 (WAFA)- Prime Minister Salam Fayyad Wednesday praised in his weekly radio talk the Palestinian youth saying that they played a leading role in resistance through the years.

Palestinians are grateful for the achievements of the Palestinian youth in the first uprising in 1987, he added.

He said that the peaceful resistance of youth in Egypt and Tunis proved successful and Palestinian youth should learn from them to meet their needs and achieve freedom.

Fayyad summed his talk by stressing the need on more youth participation in society and more campaigns to strengthen Palestinian unity. This will help in ending division in the Palestinian society and achieving readiness to establish a Palestinian state by September, he added.
