SARAJEVO, February 16, 2011 (WAFA) - Fikrat Mositch, president of Sarajevo Canton, Wednesday stressed his government’s support for the Palestinians. He called for strengthening relations between Palestine and Bosnia.

Mositch, during a meeting with Khalid Atrash, Palestinian ambassador in Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressed his country’s concern over the recent developments in Palestine and the Middle East.

He also hoped for peace in the region and for a free sovereign state of Palestine.

He said that scholarships for Palestinian students to study at University of Sarajevo will continue.

Atrash congratulated Mositch for his new post as president of Sarajevo and he thanked his government for the support offered to Palestinians.
