ATHENS, February 15, 2011 (WAFA) –   Palestinian Ambassador to Greece, Samir Abu Ghazaleh Tuesday presented, for the first time, his credentials to President of Greece Karolos Papoulias.

Palestinian ambassadors to Greece used to present credentials to Greek ministry of foreign affairs.

Abu-Ghazaleh said that the Greek government’s decision to raise the level of the Palestinian representation in Greece emphasizes the depth of the historical friendship between the countries pointing out that it comes within the Palestinian National Authority’s efforts to gain global recognition of a Palestinian state.
