RAMALLAH, August 28, 2009 (WAFA)- A citizen were wounded in his shoulders while other dozens were suffocated by tear gas as Israeli Occupation Forces attacked the weekly pacifist demonstration against the Apartheid Wall in the West Bank village of Ni’lin near Ramallah.
Hundreds of citizens, internationals and Israeli pacifist stepped towards the Wall, then the Israeli soldiers opened fire against the demonstration.
The protesters chanted, while the soldiers opened fire with tear gas and water jets. It is one of the longest-running and best organized protest operations in the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and it has turned this once anonymous farming village into a symbol of Palestinian civil disobedience, a model that many supporters of the Palestinian cause would like to see spread and prosper
