Japanese Special Envoy Begins Visit to ME

TOKYO, August 2, 2009 (WAFA)- Mr. Yutaka Iimura, Special Envoy of the Government of Japan for the Middle East began Sunday a visit Egypt, as part of a visit to the region that includes Israel, the Palestinian Territory, Jordan, and Syria.

 

During his visit, Special Envoy Iimura will exchange views regarding the situation in the Middle East, such as the Middle East peace process, with senior officials of the government of each country (including concerned people from the Palestinian Authority).

 

Mr. Yutaka Iimura, assumed his post on July 15 (Wed). He also took over the duties of Special Envoy of the Government of Japan for the Middle East from Dr. Tatsuo Arima.
