President Meets with Italian PM
ADIS ABABA, January 29, 2007, (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas met Monday on the margin of African Summit in Adis Ababa with Italian Prime Minister, Mr. Romano Prodi.
President briefed Mr. Prodi on the latest developments of the Palestinian Cause on light of Israeli government acts to alter facts on the ground, stressing the necessity of resumption the peace process that could lead to an independent Palestinian state within 1967 borders and accordance with the Road Map, Arab peace Initiative and the relevant UN resolutions.
President also briefed Mr. Prodi on the exerted efforts to form a national unity government that could able to lift the imposed siege and abide by PLO commitments and the signed accords.
