Yousef Lights Fateh Central Torch on its 42nd Anniversary in Ramallah on Prez Abbas Behalf
RAMALLAH, December 31, 2006 (WAFA) - Member of Fateh Central Committee, Nasser Yousef, lit Saturday, on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas, the central torch in Ramalla, marking the forty second anniversary of Fateh founding.
Yousef said during the ceremony that the calendar of the Palestinian revolution started when Fateh was founded in 1965.
He added that the goal of Fateh Movement, since its foundation, has been the establishment of the Palestinian state, pointing that the symbolism of Palestine had been achieved by late President Yasser Arafat.
He stressed on that national unity within its frameworks, the PLO and the Palestinian National Authority, affiring the Movement's belief in the peace option which had been started by late Leader Arafat.
