Al-Kidwa: Arab FM Adopted Three Draft Resolutions on Palestine


KHARTOUM, March 26, 2006, (WAFA)- Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser al-Kidwa, said Sunday that three draft resolutions were adopted by the Arab Foreign Ministers to be presented to the Arab Summit in Khartoum next Tuesday..... In a press conference followed the meeting of the Arab Foreign Ministers in Khartoum, al-Kidwa said that the ministers adopted three drafts on, reactivating the Arab Initiative for Peace, the developments of Palestinian Question and the (Arab) support for the Palestinian National Authority (PNA).... Regarding the Arab Initiative, al-Kidwa said that the Foreign Ministers reiterated reactivating it and called on the Quartet Committee to continue its act depending on the principle of "land for peace.... He added that they mentioned to the Israeli unilateral solutions plans which target the Palestinian land and to restrict the establishment of the Palestinian state.... "We have to call the entire world and the UN to reject such (Israeli) plans," he said, asserting that through such steps Israel annex more Palestinian lands.... As for the second draft resolution, which related to the Israeli procedures including building the Aparthied Wall, Minister of Foreign Affairs revealed that if the foreign companies which participate in building the Wall did not stop its work, they would face Arab sanctions.... Regarding the thirds draft, al-Kidwa affirmed that the Foreign Ministers adopted a resolution on resuming the financial support for the PNA, and the readiness of the Arab countries to compensate the PNA in the case of the halt of support from the foreign countries....
