PM: I Won't Run for Elections <br> due to Israel's Refusal of Jerusalemites Participation
RAMALLAH, December 24, 2005, (WAFA)- Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei said Saturday that he will not run for Palestinian Legislative Elections because Israel will bar the Jerusalemites' participation.
In a press conference in Ramallah, the PM said there is a difficult situation in the Palestinian Occupied Territories and without the participation of Jerusalemites, we will no go for the elections.
Qurei quoted as saying that "without holding legislative elections in the 1967 occupied Jerusalem, it is unwise for us to have elections in the Gaza Strip and West Bank."
