GCC: No Peace without Independent Palestinian State
ABU DHABI, December 19, 2005,(WAFA)- Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) said that a just and comprehensive peace will not be achieved without an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
In a press release issued Monday following its meetings in the United Arab Emirates, the GCC called upon Israel to stop its violations against the Palestinian people including assassination policy, expansion of colonies and construction of Apartheid Wall.
GCC demanded a full Israeli withdrawal from the 1967 occupied territories so as the Palestinian people can establish their state with Jerusalem as its capital.
It called upon Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty and to submit all its nuclear sites under international inspection.
