8 Pacifists Wounded, 1 Critically, in Qalqilia
QALQILIA, August 12, 2005, (WAFA)- At least, eight foreign and Palestinian pacifists were shot and wounded, one critically, by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in the village of Azoun, in the West Bank, witnesses said.
They told WAFA that Israeli soldiers opened fire at a peaceful anti- Apartheid Wall demonstration in the village of Azzoun, near Qalqilia City, and wounded eight.
They added that Sayel Swaidan was critically wounded after being shot in the head. Other demonstrators were also wounded and carried to hospital.
The Demonstration was organized by foreign supporters of Palestinian rights and Palestinian land owners, against the Apartheid Wall which will devour their agricultural land.
