President Abbas Meets British, Swedish Consul Generals
GAZA, August 10, 2005 (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas met on Wednesday, in Gaza, with the British Consul General in Jerusalem John Jenkins.... President Abbas talked over the issues of the new improvements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT). Also talked about the efforts by the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) to help put the peace process on its way.... . They assured the connect between the PNA and Britain would continue.... The Swedish Consul General in Jerusalem Mr. Goran Berg visited President Abbas in Gaza Headquarters to inform him that his diplomatic mission is completed..... President Abbas briefed the Consul General over the new developments in the OPT, the Israel-Palestinian security meetings and the international efforts to keep the peace process going.... A.D.
