RAMALLAH, January 18, 2006 (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas commended the Spanish and the European Union aid to the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) and the Palestinian people.... Abbas remarks came during a press conference held Wednesday following a meeting with Spanish Foreign Minister, Miguel Angel Moratinos, in Ramallah city.... He revealed that the Spanish government is interested in the continuation of the EU aid to PNA, adding that he briefed his guest about the latest developments in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) and the preparation to run the legislative elections in its time.... On his part, Moratinos expressed the Spanish support for the democratic process in OPT, hoping to be the first minister to congratulate Abbas for the success of the electoral process.... H.M.
