Refuseniks’ Families Slam Katsav for His Critical Remarks
TEL AVIV, May 25, 2004, (WAFA)- Families of Israeli refuseniks directed Tuesday a strong slam to the Israeli president Moshe Katsav, protesting his critical remarks concerning the Israeli refuseniks who refuse to serve in the Occupied Palestinian Territories OPT.... The families said in a message that Katsav was dead silent concerning house demolitions in Rafah which left thousands of civilians homeless. He was also tight- lipped when the Israeli tanks fired shells against civilians in a peaceful demonstration, which only brings to mind the despotic regimes.... “Our sons prefer being behind jails than participating in perpetrating crimes and tragedies as the ones committed by IOF soldiersâ€, they added.... They reiterated that the Israeli army in being an occupation army weakens their high spirit and turns the daily life of the Palestinian people into an inferno...
