6 Civilians Injured, Hose Demolished in Hebron
HEBRON, May 19, 2004, (WAFA) – Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) wounded Wednesday six civilians, demolished a house in the West Bank city of Hebron, medics and witnesses said.... Officials at Nasser Hospital reported that six citizens, including children, were seriously wounded when Israeli soldiers wantonly opened heavy machine gunfire at them while protesting against Israeli violations in Yatta village, south of Hebron city.... They added that the children were wounded with live bullets in different parts of their bodies.... Meanwhile, Israeli bulldozers backed by jeeps and tanks thrust into Yatta village and closed the main entrances of the village, launching a house-to-house search campaign causing a state of terror among civilians, mostly children and women.... Witnesses told WAFA that Israeli soldiers under intensive gunfire besieged a house in the middle of the village, evecting its inhabitants.... They added that Israeli soldiers arrested Mohammed abu Zahra 26, and led him into an unknown place.... Local sources said that Israeli bulldozers brutally demolished a house belonging to Awadallah Abu Zahra, a citizen from Yatta village....
