RAFAH, May 19, 2004 (WAFA)-Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) wounded Wednesday two civilians, demolished a house and arrested several civilians in the Southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah, Palestinian medical sources and witnesses said.... Medical sources in Rafah said that an Israeli sniper shot and wounded a child while she was playing beside her home, adding that IOF soldiers prevented ambulances from evacuating her.... Witnesses told WAFA, over a phone call, that they managed to reach the girl, but could not take her to hospital.... Meanwhile, Mohammed Nasser was shot by IOF snipers as he was going out of home, he and others were ordered by Israeli soldiers to gather in a school in Tal al-Sultan neighbourhood, witnesses said.... Witnesses affirmed that Nasser has been bleeding on the ground, adding that Israeli snipers, who took positions atop high buildings, were shooting at anybody trying to help him.... Earlier, Israel soldiers launched an arrest campaign in Tal al-Sultan neighbourhood, WAFA reporter said.... He reported that only Hisham Karazon and his brother were identified, while scores of civilians arrested have not been known yet.... IOF demolished a three-storey house, owned by Ali al-Sha'er, in Rafah, witnesses confirmed.... Somewhere else in Gaza, IOF tanks bombarded civilians' houses in the western part Khanyounis City, Palestinian security sources affirmed.... The sources said that Israeli tanks and heavy machine guns shelled civilians' houses of Khanyounis western Refugee Camp, causing severe damages to them, and spreading panic among children and women....
