Gaza Strip Divided by IOF
GAZA, May 18, 2004, (WAFA) – Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) blocked early Tuesday Salah al-Deen Street that links Gaza Strip southern parts with its northern ones, witnesses said.... They told WAFA that the IOF troops, stationed at Israeli military checkpoints of al-Matahen and Abu Huli, south of Deir al-Balah City, blocked all of a sudden the main street, due to which a heavy traffic jam was witnessed in the area where long queues of civilian cars stopped.... Meanwhile, IOF furthered blocking the eastern road of Salah al- Deen Street between Khanyounis and Rafah cities of Gaza Strip, Palestinian security sources said.... They confirmed that massive Israeli vehicles stationed on the road denying the civilians’ access amid intensive shooting.
