APAN, May 18, 2004, (WAFA) – Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs voiced out Tuesday its utmost alarm at the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip. urging Israel to stop this demolition immediately.... In a statement issued today, the ministry said that “it is deeply alarmed by many causalities and injuries on the Palestinian side as a result of sporadic conflicts since may 11 (Tuesday).... 'The demolition of many houses of Palestinian refugees in Rafah in the Gaza Strip and others by the Israeli Forces have left more than 1,000 residents without homes, creating a grave humanitarian disaster', the statement added.... Japan urged the government of Israel and the Palestinian Authority to immediately exercise their initiatives to resume dialogue and cooperation to implement the Road Map peace plan....
