GAZA, May 17, 2004 (WAFA)-Palestinian Higher National for Commemorating Nakba (PHNCN) Monday handed over a memorandum to UN secretary General Representative in Gaza urging the UN to intervene against the continued Israeli massacres on the Palestinian Refugee Camps.... In a letter, PHNCN asked the UN to shoulder its responsibility to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and to impose sanctions on Israel in accordance with the international law and the UN Charter.... "Israel is practicing a policy of land grabbing, house destruction, state terrorism and massacres", the letter said.... "We reiterate the Palestinian people adherence to peace based on the decisions of the international legitimacy that guarantee Israel's evacuation from the Occupied Palestinian Territories and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and protecting the refugees' right of return as stipulated in the UN resolution 194," the letter concluded.
