RAMALLAH, Feb. 29, 2004, (WAFA)- The Palestinian Government strongly condemned Sunday the Israeli killing of three citizens and injuring others, including a 6-year-old child, in Gaza, late Saturday.
In an official statement issued Sunday morning the Government said Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) "carries out a series of daily assassinations …" in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The government also expressed its reservation on the International silence as Israel continues its state-run-terror against our people.
"The government notices the absence of Quartet and US intervention to end the series of Israeli aggressions and to protect our people," the statement added.
The Palestinian government also called on the UN Security Council, the Quartet and the peace-sponsoring countries to end the Israeli indifference to both International law and peace efforts, according to the statement.
The PNA statement came hours after Israeli US-made helicopters bombarded on Saturday night a civilian car, killing three citizens and injuring dozens, including a child in critical condition, in northern Gaza.
The IOF committed its crime while the Revolutionary Council of Fateh movement, chaired by President Arafat, was preparing a statement declaring commitment to peace as a strategic choice.
