RAMALLAH, Friday, May 15, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is hot to very hot and dry in daytime and relatively hot in nighttime with a slight rise in temperature which approaches 9°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly wind blows. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 34°C and a low of 24°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 33°C and a low of 23°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 43°C and a low of 28°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Saturday’s temperature is set to further slightly rise and approach 11°C above the seasonal average as extremely hot and dry conditions continue to prevail.

Sunday’s temperature is set to further slightly rise and approach 12°C above the seasonal average with extremely hot and dry conditions, particularly in the Jordan Valley.

The same weather conditions are expected for Monday.

PMD warns people against direct exposure to the sun for long period, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
