AMMAN, Sunday, July 07, 2019 (WAFA) – Palestine and Jordan signed today three memorandums of understanding (MOU) in energy, health and transportation.
Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, on an official visit to Jordan, said the MOUs fall in line with effort by the Palestinian Authority to gradually disengage from Israel and reduce dependence on it.
He stressed in the presence of his Jordanian counterpart Omar Razzaz the deep relations between their two neighboring countries and their common perspective on the future.
He expressed interest in expanding trade relations between their countries.
Razzaz, on the other hand, said the legitimate Palestinian demands in establishing their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital is a Jordanian interest in the first place.
