RAMALLAH, Friday, May 31, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Friday is relatively hot and dry in mountainous districts and extremely hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime with a significant drop of temperature which remains above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Clear to partly cloudy with refreshing air are expected in nighttime. Wind is westerly to northwesterly and light to moderate with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 32°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 43°C and a low of 26°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 21°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Weather on Saturday is mainly sunny and relatively hot in daytime and mild to slightly cold in nighttime. Temperature is expected to drop while remaining 4°C above the seasonal average.

Sunday’s temperature is set to slightly drop and approach 3°C above the seasonal average. Pleasant conditions are expected in mountainous districts and very hot conditions in the Jordan Valley in daytime, while relatively cold conditions are expected in mountainous districts in nighttime and pleasant conditions in other districts.

PMD warns people against direct exposure to sunlight for long period on, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry leaves and grass.
