FM Al-Malki says any deal outside international peace references should be dismissed

JEDDAH, Thursday, May 30, 2019 (WAFA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad Malki called today upon the Arab and Islamic countries to reject any deal or plan that is not in line with the international peace references and the resolutions of the international community.

Speaking to the preparatory meeting of the 14th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, al-Malki said the OIC member states should support the international action of the Palestinian leadership, "aimed at confronting the continued and accelerated colonial measures of the Israeli occupation."

He also called on the member states to condemn the US‘ relocation of its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem which undermines the efforts for peacemaking based on a just peace and a two-state solution.

Al-Malki met with several OIC foreign ministers on the sideline of the meeting and briefed them on the latest developments in Palestine and the challenges facing the Palestinian cause.
