RAMALLAH, Wednesday, May 29, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Wednesday is abundantly sunny and very hot in daytime and relatively hot in nighttime with a rise of temperature which approaches 11°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is northwesterly and light to moderate with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 36°C and a low of 24°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 35°C and a low of 23°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 42°C and a low of 29°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

PMD expects Thursday’s temperature to slightly rise by 1°C with hot conditions in mountainous districts and very hot conditions in the Jordan Valley in daytime and pleasant conditions in nighttime.

A significant drop is expected in Friday’s temperature which remains above the seasonal average with partially cloudy and relatively hot conditions in daytime and mild conditions in nighttime, particularly in mountainous districts.

Weather on Saturday is relatively hot during daytime and mild to relatively cold in nighttime. Temperature is expected to drop while remaining 4°C above the seasonal average.

PMD warns people against direct exposure to sunlight for long period on Wednesday and Thursday, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry leaves and grass.
