RAMALLAH, Tuesday, May 28, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Wednesday is unseasonably hot in daytime and pleasant in nighttime with a slight rise of temperature which approaches 6°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is northwesterly and light to moderate with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 30°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 39°C and a low of 26°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Wednesday’s temperature is set to further rise and approach 10°C above the seasonal average with abundantly sunny and very hot conditions in daytime and pleasant conditions in nighttime.

PMD expects Thursday’s temperature to slightly rise by 1°C with hot conditions in mountainous districts and very hot conditions in the Jordan Valley in daytime and pleasant conditions in nighttime.

A significant drop is expected in Friday’s temperature which remains above the seasonal average with partially cloudy and relatively hot conditions in daytime and mild to relatively cold conditions in nighttime, particularly in mountainous districts.

PMD warns people against direct exposure to sunlight for long period on Wednesday and Thursday, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry leaves and grass.
