RAMALLAH, Monday, May 27, 2019 (WAFA) - The Palestinian Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, restated  during its weekly meeting held in Ramallah the Palestinian leadership‘s refusal to accept tax revenues if incomplete, hailed the unity of the Palestinian position rejecting the Manama Conference, and announced the participation of President Abbas in the Arab Islamic Summit in Saudi Arabia.

The cabinet confirmed the position of the Palestinian leadership, which refuses to receive the tax revenues if incomplete. "We will never accept describing Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails as terrorists and the claims that the State of Palestine funds terrorism," Shtayyeh stated.

The Cabinet, according to the following statement:

Announced the payment of the full salaries of the martyrs and prisoners families. As well as, 60% of the public servants‘ salaries for May in both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. In addition to the total amount owed to the salaries segment of NIS 2,000 or less in the West Bank and Gaza.

It hailed the unity of the Palestinian position, led by President Mahmoud Abbas, PLO factions, and the Executive Committee‘s statement, as well as the position of Palestinian businessmen and the private sector, at home and in the Diaspora, rejecting the Manama, Bahrain conference, which comes as part of the so-called ‘Deal of the Century.‘

 "I am surprised by the claim that such a conference is to serve the Palestinian economy at a time when the perpetrators are waging a political and financial war against our citizens and institutions and other international institutions that support us," Shtayyeh clarified.

The cabinet also announced that President Mahmoud Abbas will participate in the Arab and Islamic Summit in Saudi Arabia during which he will deliver a speech that outlines the Palestinian position, highlights the political developments in the region, and demands the Arab and Muslim nations to fulfill their obligations towards Palestine, affirming that Palestine is the key to peace in the region and is the center of the conflict.

The cabinet noted that it has formed a national health committee comprising various medical and professional organizations and associations to review, analyze, and study the current health situation and prepare a comprehensive national plan to improve the health sector in Palestine.

It said it has approved to purchase childhood vaccines for the year of 2019 at a value of $8.9 million.
