Israeli forces shut down entrance to Bethlehem village

BETHLEHEM, August 3, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Thursday shut down the main entrance to the village of Wadi Fukin, to the west of Bethlehem in the West Bank, due to the Israeli prime minister’s visit to a nearby illegal settlement.

Head of Wadi Fukin village council, Ahmad Sukkar, told WAFA that Israeli army and police shut down the main entrance to the village on Thursday morning, banning entry and exit of local residents.

The Israeli forces later informed the village’s residents that they will reopen the main road after Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu leaves the area in the afternoon.
