Israeli forces injure Palestinian minor in Ramallah district village weekly march

RAMALLAH, March 10, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Friday shot and injured a Palestinian minor during the weekly march in Nilin village, west of Ramallah, said locals.

Forces suppressed Palestinian protestors as they marched against Israeli settlement construction, land expropriation and the segregation wall.

Protestors held Palestinian flags and shouted slogans demanding the destruction of the separation wall, halting settlement construction and ending 50-year Israeli occupation.

Forces stationed behind the wall fired rubber-coated steel bullets and sponge-tipped bullets, hitting a 14-year minor in his feet. The injured minor was reportedly treated on the scene.

They also showered protestors with tear gas canisters, causing a number of Palestinian protestors and international peace activists to suffer from tear gas inhalation.

Bilin has been actively organizing peaceful organized opposition against Israeli occupation policies, as residents have organized protests every Friday for 12 years, and have often been met with tear gas, rubber-coated steel bullets and stun grenades fired by Israeli troops.
