Israeli settlers assault, injure two Palestinians near Nablus

NABLUS, March 6, 2017 (WAFA) Israeli settlers on Monday assaulted a group of Palestinian farmers and injured two in the village of Far’ata, west to Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in Nablus area, said Israeli settlers assaulted Palestinian farmers and injured two of them, including an elderly woman, while working in their lands in Far’ata village. The woman was identified as Mariam Salman.

Between 500,000 and 600,000 Israelis live in Jewish-only settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law, with recent announcements of settlement expansion provoking condemnation from the international community.
