RAMALLAH, March 6, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces last night detained 15 Palestinians, including two members of the Palestine Legislative Council and former prisoners, during raids across the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said.
PPS said in a statement that Israeli forces detained Khalid Tafish and Anwar Zaboun, who are members of the Palestine Legislative Council. Two former prisoners from the city of Bethlehem were also detained.
Israeli army also detained four Palestinians from the city of Qalqilya, three from Jenin, two from Hebron and two more from Nablus.
According to a joint report by the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS), Al Mezan center for Human Rights, Prisoners Support and Human Rights Association, Israel has arrested 498 Palestinians, including 108 children, 19 women, one journalist in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in February 2017.
