RAMALLAH, January 28, 2017 (WAFA) – Weather on Saturday is cloudy and very cold with a further drop in temperature to become five degrees Celsius below the annual average. Rain is expected to fall over different areas, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD.)
Rain, along with thunderstorms and hail at times, are also expected. A chance of light snow showers is expected to fall over areas 900 meters above sea level. Wind is northwesterly to westerly and moderate to active. Sea waves are medium to high.
The PMD predicts weather on Sunday to be very cold to partially cloudy with a slight rise in temperature but remains three degrees Celsius below the annual average. Wind is northwesterly to northeasterly and light to moderate. Sea waves are low.
Weather on Monday is expected to be very cold and partially cloudy, especially in the morning hours, with a further rise in temperature approaching the annual average. Wind is northeasterly to easterly and light to moderate. Sea waves are low.
On Tuesday, partially cloudy to cloudy and cold weather conditions are expected to prevail as temperatures slightly drop to become two degrees Celsius lower than the annual average. Rain is also expected to fall over different areas. Wind is northwesterly to westerly and moderate to active at times. Sea waves are low to medium.
People are warned against flooding in low areas and valleys, high wind and sliding on roads on Sunday and Monday as a result of hail and from low horizontal visibility.
