RAMALLAH, July 12, 2026 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas extended his condolences on Sunday to Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani following the death of Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
President Abbas commended the late Father Emir as the founder of modern Qatar and a prominent national and Arab leader who devoted his life to advancing his country and people, strengthening Qatar's regional and international standing, supporting Arab causes and backing the Palestinian cause.
The President also extended his deepest condolences to Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Qatari royal family, the people of Qatar and the Arab nation, praying that the late Father Emir be granted eternal mercy and peace.
