RAMALLAH, February 17, 2026 (WAFA) – President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas received on Tuesday the credentials of the new Head of the Representative Office of the Republic of Portugal to the State of Palestine, José Eduardo Guedes de Sousa
The credentials ceremony was attended by the President's Diplomatic Advisor, Majdi al-Khalidi, and the Commander of the Presidential Guard, Major General Muhammad Dajaneh.
The newly appointed ambassador then inspected the guard of honor, which lined up to salute him.
