RAMALLAH, September 10, 2025 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday thanked Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his firm positions in support of Palestine and the Palestinian people.

President Abbas hailed Saudi Crown Prince bin Salman’s remarks at the opening of the ninth session of the Shura Council that Gazans’ rights cannot be denied by any aggression or eliminated by any threat as expressive of Saudi Arabia’s principled and historic position on Palestine.

He added that these remarks fell in line with the Arab Peace Initiative, which still constitutes the fundamental terms of reference for achieving just and comprehensive peace and realizing the establishment of the independent Palestinian state based on the June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He commended Saudi Arabia for its efforts in forming the Global Alliance for the Implementation of a Two-State Solution and expand the wave of international recognition of the State of Palestine and bolstering international consensus on the two-state solution.

He voiced his appreciation of Saudi Arabia’s clear condemnation of the incessant brutal Israeli assaults and rejection of Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, including the crimes of starvation and forced displacement.
