RAMALLAH, August 11, 2025 (WAFA) – Vice President of the State of Palestine, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh, condemned the Israeli occupation's crime that targeted media crews in the Gaza Strip, killing a number of journalists and photojournalists while performing their professional duties.
Al-Sheikh stressed that targeting journalists is a war crime and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
He called on the international community and institutions concerned with press freedom to take urgent action to hold the occupation accountable and halt its ongoing crimes against our people.
