RAMALLAH, March 29, 2025 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Palestinian people, both at home and in the diaspora, as well as to the Arab and Islamic nations, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

President Abbas expressed his hope that the next Eid al-Fitr would mark the end of the ongoing Israeli genocide faced by the Palestinian people in Gaza, and that the attacks on Palestinian cities, villages, and refugee camps in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, would cease. 

He further wished for the realization of the Palestinian people's aspirations for freedom, independence, and the establishment of their own state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The President also prayed for the martyrs of the Palestinian people, asking God to grant them mercy and place them in Paradise. He extended wishes for a speedy recovery to the wounded and called for the immediate release of Palestinian prisoners.

In his message, President Abbas also congratulated the leaders and people of the Arab and Islamic nations, wishing them health and prosperity, and hoping that their aspirations for progress and development would be fulfilled.
