RAMALLAH, March 29, 2025 (WAFA) – A phone call took place today between President Mahmoud Abbas and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during which they exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
President Erdogan extended his congratulations to President Abbas and the Palestinian people on the arrival of Eid al-Fitr, expressing his hope that the holiday would return with an end to the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and the fulfillment of their aspirations for freedom and independence.
The Turkish President reaffirmed his country’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their just cause in all international forums.
In response, President Abbas wished President Erdogan and the Turkish people continued progress and prosperity. He also expressed his appreciation for Turkey's steadfast support of the Palestinian people and their legitimate national rights, emphasizing Palestine's commitment to strengthening coordination and cooperation between the two countries and their peoples.
