RAMALLAH, February 13, 2025 (WAFA) – President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas thanked President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping for his country's position rejecting any displacement or collective punishment of Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, as well as China's call on the international community to intensify its efforts to stop the escalation and protect our citizens, and work to achieve a peaceful and just solution to the Palestinian cause, which is consistent with international law, as well as the position of the leadership.

"We are fully confident in your Excellency's support for our efforts to consolidate the ceasefire in Gaza, stop the current Israeli aggression on the cities and camps of the West Bank, accelerate the reconstruction of Gaza, reconnect it to the West Bank, move towards implementing the two-state solution, end the Israeli occupation and embody the independent, geographically integrated state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, so that we can live with all the peoples of the region in security, peace and stability," President Abbas said in a letter of thanks and appreciation to the Chinese President.

The President wished the Chinese President health and happiness, and the Chinese government and its people further progress and prosperity.
