RAMALLAH, January 10, 2025 (WAFA) – President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, chaired a meeting with security leaders on Thursday evening at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah.
During the meeting, security leaders briefed President Abbas on the current security situation in the Palestinian territories and the progress of the "Protecting the Homeland" operation, which aims to enforce the rule of law in the Jenin Governorate. They shared key outcomes of this campaign, which have contributed to enhancing the security and safety of Palestinian citizens.
The President reaffirmed his full support for the efforts of the Palestinian security services in maintaining stability and order. He emphasized that no one is above the law and that the primary goal of all security measures is to uphold the rule of law, respect people’s dignity, and ensure their security, particularly in light of the region's ongoing challenges and the difficult situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
President Abbas also stressed that achieving the aspirations of the Palestinian people for freedom and independence requires prioritizing these goals above all else, especially during such critical and challenging times. He praised the widespread national support for enforcing the rule of law and ensuring the safety and security of the Palestinian people.
