BRUSSELS, January 1, 2025 (WAFA) – Poland Wednesday assumed the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Poland has officially started its presidency of the European Union Council from January 1 to June 30, 2025.
Warsaw intends to implement a set of priorities around the topic of security, according to the official website of Poland's presidency in the EU Council.
During this period, Warsaw is set to strengthen European security in light of what it describes as “increasing geopolitical tensions, the erosion of the rules-based international order and hybrid attacks targeting European democracy and security.”
