RAMALLAH, December 29, 2024 (WAFA) - The Palestinian Committee for Implementing Security Council Resolutions announced on Sunday the addition of a new group of colonists and their affiliated entities to the national terrorism list. This includes 19 new entries; ten individuals and nine terrorist entities.
With these additions, the total number of Israeli colonists and their affiliated terrorist entities listed on the national terrorism list has reached 38.
This decision comes in light of the increasing colonists’ violence against Palestinian villages, cities and camps, as well as the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
The committee also resolved to share the names of the colonists and their affiliated entities with other countries, urging them to incorporate these individuals and groups into their respective terrorism lists.
The committee was established under Article (98) of Law No. (39/2022) concerning the Combatting of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing and its amendments. It exercises its powers by implementing United Nations Security Council resolutions in accordance with Presidential Decree No. (14/2022), particularly Resolution 1373, which calls for the creation of a national terrorism list.
The committee has the authority to add any person or entity to this list if there are reasonable grounds linking them to terrorist activities, based on specific criteria.
The committee is chaired by the Attorney General and includes the head of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, as well as representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Justice, Interior and Finance.
It also includes the Director of the Financial Follow-up Unit, the Registrar of Companies, the Director of the Regulatory Department at the Palestinian Monetary Authority, the General Director of the Capital Market Authority, the Director of the Central National Bureau (Interpol Palestine), the Chairman of the Land Authority, and representatives from the General Intelligence Service and Preventive Security Service.
