JEDDAH, December 13, 2024 (WAFA) - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Friday condemned the massacre committed by Israeli forces in the al-Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, along with the indiscriminate destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure.

The OIC slammed these actions as part of Israel's systematic state terrorism and ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people, which has persisted for over fourteen months.

In a statement, the organization welcomed the United Nations General Assembly's adoption of a resolution calling for an immediate, permanent and unconditional ceasefire, as well as the facilitation of humanitarian aid access to all areas of the Gaza Strip.

The OIC also praised the adoption of another resolution supporting the mandate of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and its vital role in providing essential services to Palestinian refugees.

The OIC reiterated its call for the international community to assume its responsibilities and compel Israel, the occupying power, to comply with international law and implement relevant UN resolutions.
