RAMALLAH, November 29, 2024 (WAFA) - The Palestinian Presidency condemned on Friday the relentless Israeli massacres in the Gaza Strip, with the latest atrocity in Beit Lahia claiming over 100 lives and leaving dozens injured, including women and children.
Presidential spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh accused the Israeli authorities of pursuing aggressive policies to forcibly displace Palestinians and sever northern Gaza from the rest of the Strip through continuing its ongoing genocide and the starvation war in Gaza, in addition to the settler-backed violence and attacks on villages and refugee camps in the West Bank.
Abu Rudeineh stressed that the Palestinian people will remain steadfast in their commitment to the unity of all Palestinian territories within the framework of the State of Palestine, whether in Gaza, the West Bank, or Jerusalem; the capital.
He affirmed that such plans for displacement would fail in the face of strong Palestinian resilience and widespread Arab and international opposition.
Abu Rudeineh urged the international community to intervene and pressure the Israeli authorities to end their aggression and genocidal crimes against the Palestinian people.
He emphasized the need to uphold international law, particularly Resolution 2735, which demands an immediate ceasefire, unrestricted humanitarian aid access to Gaza and the empowerment of the State of Palestine to fulfill its responsibilities.
He further cautioned that inaction would only sustain the cycle of violence in the region, preventing security and stability for all.
The presidential spokesperson held the U.S. administration fully responsible for the continuation of this bloody aggression, citing its provision of political cover that allows Israeli occupation authorities to evade accountability.
He also highlighted the continued U.S. financial and military support, which empowers Israel to disregard international law, including the recent UN General Assembly resolution urging the implementation of the International Court of Justice's advisory opinion to stop the aggression and end the Israeli occupation.
