KAZAN, October 24, 2024 (WAFA) – President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas received on Thursday with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, on the sidelines of the BRICS summit held in the Russian city of Kazan.
The Bahraini Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain to President Mahmoud Abbas, while the President asked him to convey his greetings to the King of Bahrain, appreciating the Kingdom's support for our people and their just cause.
The President briefed the Bahraini Minister on the latest developments in the Palestinian arena, especially the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and the efforts made to reach a ceasefire.
President Abbas touched on the dangerous Israeli escalation in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, as well as the continued crimes of terrorist colonists, and the attacks on Islamic and Christian sanctities, especially in the city of Jerusalem.
The President stressed the continuation of efforts to obtain the State of Palestine's full membership in the United Nations, and the importance of recognition by countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine.
