RAMALLAH, Thursday, July 25, 2024 (WAFA) - The Presidency has commended the Russian State Duma for adopting a statement condemning the Israeli Knesset's decision against the establishment of a Palestinian state.  

The Presidency also welcomed the Duma’s call for parliaments worldwide to condemn the Knesset’s illegal decisions and to exert every effort to end the bloodshed in Palestine as soon as possible.

Additionally, the Presidency reaffirmed Russia's steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights to freedom and independence. 

It highlighted the ongoing meetings between Palestinian and Russian leaderships, including an upcoming meeting between President Mahmoud Abbas and President Vladimir Putin. This meeting aims to discuss recent developments and enhance cooperation, further strengthening the historical ties between the two nations and their leaders.
