GAZA, Monday, May 13, 2024 (WAFA) – A UN employee was killed and several other UN personnel were wounded as the Israeli occupation’s relentless aggression on the Gaza Strip by land, sea and air entered its 220th consecutive day.
According to sources, a UN employee was killed near the European hospital east of ‘Khan Yunis city, in the southern Strip, as acknowledged by official Israeli media outlets.
In addition, a Palestinian driver was killed and a staff member of the World Health Organization (WHO) was injured in Israeli shelling targeting the eastern part of Rafah to the south.
Medical sources also reported the wounding of two UN workers, including one critically, at the Rafah crossing in the southern Gaza Strip.
The death toll of the Israeli aggression on the Strip since October 7 has risen to 35,091. Over 78,827 people were wounded.
Ambulance and rescue teams have continuously reported their inability to reach thousands of victims who are still trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads.
