Israeli forces set up checkpoint at Ramallah-village area, fire gas bombs at school

RAMALLAH, Monday, April 29, 2024 (WAFA) –  Israeli occupation forces Monday set up a military checkpoint at the western entrance to the village of Al-Mughayir, east of Ramallah, and fired toxic gas bombs towards a school.

Deputy Chairman of Al-Mughair Village Council, Marzouq Abu Naim, told WAFA that the occupation forces set up a military checkpoint at the western entrance to the village, near Al-Mughir Boys’ Secondary School.

He added that the occupation soldiers fired toxic gas bombs while the students were in the school.

Abu Naim pointed out that the villagers confronted the occupation forces and tried to keep them away from the school, but they continued to fire gas bombs at it.

The village of Al-Mughair and the villages north and east of Ramallah such as Al-Mughair, Beitin, Deir Jarir, Silwad, Ain Sinya, Abu Falah, Burqa, Atara, and Al-Mazraa Al-Gharbiyah are being exposed to onoing attacks by colonists, protected by the Israeli occupation forces, who burned dozens of homes, vehicles, and citizens’ property.
