Occupation forces close livestock market in Hebron

HEBRON, August 25, 2023 (WAFA) - Israeli occupation forces closed this morning the livestock market located in the city of Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank, local sources said.

Israeli occupation forces forces sealed off the entrance to the market situated in the Al-Fahs neighborhood in the southern outskirts of Hebron, preventing both traders and farmers from entering.

The livestock market in Hebron, which is organized every Friday, is a gathering point for farmers and livestock traders from various regions of the country. The closure disrupts a vital economic activity for many residents of Hebron and the surrounding areas.

This closure adds to the ongoing challenges faced by Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territories and highlights the hardships facing Palestinians living under Israeli military occupation.
