NABLUS, Friday, August 11, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces dispersed today the weekly anti-colonization protest in the village of Beit Dajan, to the northeast of Nablus, according to local sources. The Israeli dispersion of the nonviolent protest resulted in several cases of suffocation from gas inhalation.
Israeli occupation soldiers attacked the protesters with rubber-coated rounds, stun grenades and teargas, causing cases of suffocation among the protesters from teargas inhalation.
The Israeli soldiers also physically assaulted the village’s mayor, Nasri Abu Jeish, causing him bruises.
For years, Palestinians have been organizing a weekly nonviolent protest in the village in protest of attempts by the occupying Israeli state’s attempts to take over Palestinian lands in favor of the Israeli settlement enterprise.
